The comment was made by Navjot Singh Sidhu amid a flurry of allegations that claimed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had approached him ahead of the Lok Sabha elections by saying that they had approached him. Navjot Singh Sidhu stated that he was under the impression that the BJP had made an effort to get in touch with him.
According to a statement that was made by Navjot Singh Sidhu, a leader in the Congress party, Bhagwant Mann, the chief minister of Punjab and a member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), reportedly approached Navjot Singh Sidhu at one time and declared his willingness to join the grand old party. This information was provided by Navjot Singh Sidhu.
Sidhu has made a remark that comes at a time when he has made this assertion. However, at a time when there are several rumours and concerns regarding his political future, as well as a supposed approach from the Bharatiya Janata Party, Sidhu has made this declaration.
Sidhu was questioned about the allegations that he will rejoin the BJP and whether or not the party had approached him about joining them for an interview with a media source. The interview was conducted to gather information regarding the rumours. Her questioning was a response to the rumours that were going around.
There is one piece of information that I can share with you about the person who approached me. I can share this information with you. When I returned home, I was taken aback to see that Bhagwant Mann Sahab had visited me. Sidhu is the one who commented, and he made the following remark: “If he tells, I will even tell him the place (where they met).”
He told me, “Paaji, I am ready to serve as your deputy.” This is if I am successful in convincing him to become a member of Congress. Additionally, he informed me that even if you joined the Aam Aadmi Party, he would still be willing to serve as my deputy, the leader of the Congress party said. This was a very useful piece of information. Moreover, he had already informed me that he would be willing to do so, so this was an additional statement.
His determination to remain faithful to the leadership of the Congress party, particularly Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, was at the forefront of his statements. He was a member of the Congress party and served as a representative. His statement claims that he communicated his promise to Mann during the chat that they reportedly had. This is the time when he supposedly pledged.
In addition, he stated that he had communicated to Mann that he was more than welcome to join the Congress party and that he should discuss the topic with the leadership of the party in Delhi. It was stated by Sidhu that he had communicated this communication to Mann.
On the other hand, the former leader of the Punjab Congress made it abundantly apparent that the conversation did not go beyond this point, which provides the impression that there were no additional discussions or negotiations between him and Mann.
However, it was not possible to gain a prompt reaction from Mann in response to the allegations that Sidhu had made.
Even though the Congress and the AAP have cooperated to ally for the Lok Sabha elections that will take place in 2024, Navjot Singh Sindhu has not been holding back when it comes to his criticism of the Punjab chief minister.
He stated that his fundamental objective is to be of service to the people of Punjab, and he was referring to his purpose.
In response to the resentment he had towards the AAP government that was led by Mann, he issued the following statement: “They move in aircraft and luxury vehicles, but debt has to be paid by Punjabis.” This was done as a reaction to the “mounting debt” that Punjab was going through during the relevant time.
